We'll use our hands, eyes, and nose to search for the critters that crawl through our soil. Soil Adventurers (Grades 1-5) - 90 minutes They will learn about bird migration, squirrel tendencies, worms, and water critters. Students will spend time searching for clues that animals roam the Haverford Reserve. Trips include activities and games related to the topic of your choosing, hands-on learning experiences, and an outdoor exploration of our trails. Our agenda includes 60 or 90 minutes of environmental education followed by 60 minutes of picnic table space under our pavilion at Freedom Playground. We have over 124 acres of open space, two first-order streams, four water retention basins, and a native grass meadow. The beautiful, Haverford Reserve, is an ideal location for your group’s next field trip.
